Don't Watch This Video if you Love Mario

Category : Marios Bros

Just a few changes and our favorite plumber is a very different man. In this hilarious, entrancing and disturbing video, a sound designer imagines Super Mario Bros. as a modern AAA game by warping  the way we hear it. There’s no music or jump noises — just footsteps, metallic clanks and crumbling brick.

In addition, the goombas now explode in a blood splatter or slowly burn to death. Which, one supposes, is not that much worse than being flattened to death by a giant plumber. Towards the end, the perspective starts to shift in a manner that you could call “cinematic.”

You’ll never look at Mario the same way again. You were warned.
